I’m a ‘fan’ of this phone. It is none other than the Nubia Redmagic 3 gaming smartphone, which has got quite a few other perks to it as well. That said, let’s get to the specs list below:

OPINION
While most people think that the in-built fan,which we’ll talk about in a second, is the most impressive feature of this phone, many features have been overlooked. Lets start with the display, which along with the one plus 7 pro, is the only mass-produced 90Hz display available on the market area. It is sharp and crisp and keeps up with the industry standards.
Moving on to the rear of the phone there is a hexagonal fingerprint scanner, not the most comfortable one on a phone due to its shape but it’s able to get the job done. right below is the customizable LED strip which adds to the gaming inspired design of the phone. There is a 48 megapixel camera sensor which can record 8k video at a not-so-impressive 15 fps, but it shows that we can record with 8k on a smartphone. At the front, there is a 16 MP sensor which takes crisp and clean shots. It also has stereo speakers which although is not the loudest but is able to produce clear high quality sound. Overall, it is a capable smart phone which checks all the boxes in terms of available hardware.
Now lets move on to the real reason behind the hype of the smartphone. First it has additional buttons which can be customized depending on the game we play, and to keep the temperature of the smartphone at an optimal level they have a fan which has an intake at the side and expels hot air at the back. The fan’s speed can also be optimised according to your needs. It also has a game mode where you can block notifications and calls as per your choice.
VERDICT
This is a smartphone which caters to a very particular audience. Not many people are interested in this segment, but to those who do, it’s a compelling choice. Honestly, at around 30,00 INR, this is worth the price. The drawback for quite a few gaming phones is that they aren’t competitive in other areas that a potential customer might look at.
